E' un grande film, paradossalmente il capolavoro di Powell coincise anche con il declino della sua carriera.
Un film considerato "malsano", perverso e per questo tacitamente messo da parte.
Questo è quello che accadeva (ma forse accade tuttora) ai film che trattavano argomenti scomodi, alcuni esempi: "Freaks" di Browning, "Spider baby" di Jack Hill e restando in Italia "La Frusta e il corpo" di Bava (per il quale fu anche condannato dal tribunale a 2 mesi di carcere!!!????) e "L'orribile segreto del dr. Hitchcock" di Freda.

Concordo su quasi il 100x100 l'unico film che abolirei e Ocean's 11 uno dei più brutti noiosi e commerciali che ho visto in questi primi mesi del 2002

Tutta la Hollywood venuta fuori dagli anni '70: Spielberg, Scorsese, Coppola e Lucas, in ordine di preferenza. Gli attori sono i soliti: Al Pacino e Robert De Niro. Dei "giovani" mi viene in mente Jim Carrey.
