Dick ne ha scritti decine di romanzi...per non parlare dei racconti brevi.
Senti pensa un po come ti pare...ma c'è un racconto di P.Dick che si chiama Fanteria dello spazio...la cui storia è identica a quella del film.

Verhoeven mi piace un sacco! Dal mitico showgirls a SS troopers (guarda un pò!).
Secondo me è un bel film di fantascienza.
Non siamo all'arte nè al capolavoro ma si lascia vedere -eccome-
E' montato bene, la sceneggiatura regge botta, gli attori sono buoni e c'è anche un pò di gnocca. Mi piace  |

È 1 cagata assurda. Già dalle premesse sembra un patetico telefilm di fanta-schifezza, anche se la prima volta (mi) era sembrato chissà che... fino a quando è finito nel modo più idiota possibile, cioè interrompendosi e promettendo un seguito...
Michael Ironside è l'unico attore che reciti con un minimo di decenza. |

Il film dovrebbe essere una parodia di una certa fantascienza anni '50 della quale vengono esplicitati in maniera grottesca i connotati aggressivi e guerrafondai: non è casuale, infatti, che le divise dei soldati richiamino il Terzo Reich, i protagonisti vivono in un regime militarista palesemente fascistoide (hai presente i cinegiornali che inframmezzano la storia?).
In tal senso il film dovrebbe essere una grottesca satira (swiftiana?) antimilitarista. |

Sì, ma riesce male. Personaggi tutti uguali, tutti eroi ultra-coraggiosi, l'unico nemico da sconfiggere sono degli insettoni a cui sparare urlando...
Una cosa positiva c'è, almeno si crepa in massa. |

Ma in realtà gli stereotipi sono il cardine di una certa fantascienza anni 50 (e non solo).
Poi si nota chiaramente il fatto che giovani inesperti e addestrati in modo superficiale e con armi obsolete vengono mandati allo sbaraglio contro un nemico che non si sa bene se ci ha attaccato davvero oppure no.Di cosa si tratta se non di una critica al modo di fare degli Stati Uniti?
Comunque non ti preoccupare..non sei certo il solo a non aver colto il lato ironico e parodistico di questa pellicola.
