Attenzione, attenzione fans di Lynch, forse qualcosa si sta muovendo, traducetevi questa notiziona (che spero fondata):
"Here's a far-from-perfect translation from Polish of an extended "Stopklatka news" comment on "The Green Room in Lodz":
17th November, 2004
Lynch started working on the movie during the last year’s Camerimage festival. Initially it was to last only a few minutes, but the etude underwent considerable development. The script was written ”on the spot,” often just before shooting. It was kept in secret. “This is a typical Lynchian story, a clash of the real and unreal worlds,” said Marek Zydowicz.
Lynch invited Polish actors, Karolina Gruszka and Krzysztof Majchrzak. The cast included also Jan Hencz, Józef Zbiróg and Piotr Andrzejewski who has lived in the United States for many years and appears on the screen using the name of Peter Lucas.
This was meant to be an experiment, a taste of how the work is done in Poland. Having returned to Los Angeles, David Lynch edited the material he shot. The result was a 15-minute film, which fascinated Lynch so much that he decided to continue working on it. He invited Karolina Gruszka and Krzysztof Majchrzak to the States. The actors went there with Zydowicz and the Camerimage crew. They did not know the whole script, had 10 shooting days, and got the descriptions of their scenes and characters just before the shooting started. Laura Dern costars with Majchrzak in the American scenes.
“I wouldn’t trust 99 % of directors in such circumstances,” claims Krzysztof Majchrzak. “But I decided to trust Lynch’s intuition, simply because I know his work. Besides, already during the movie-shoot in Poland I realized working with him is a joyous, euphoric experience. That’s precisely how I like working. Although Lynch isn’t exactly a young man, he is capable of enjoying the cinema like a little boy who plays with toy soldiers on the plush carpet right after having breakfast under his mother’s supervision. And he infects others with his lightness. The only person capable of such lightness is Jan Kolski – we can work like this but we manage to preserve the spirit of a serious, spiritual-intellectual conversation.
Lynch likes to play. He often succumbs to some impulse, takes the camera from the operator, says: ‘I will do it,’ and arranges the shot. At his home he showed us some very short films, which he made for himself. The way he paints and takes photos for his own sake. These film miniatures filmy were charmingly light and unassuming.”
Currently, the new film is ca 40 minutes long, its working title is "The Green Room in Lodz" ("Zielony pokój w Lodzi"). “I think Lynch is surprised with the results of this undertaking,” says Marek Zydowicz. “He wants to continue the project. He told me there is a mystery in this material which greatly attracts him.” The director’s agent claims that a lot of his movies were created in this way, including "Mulholland Drive."
While staying in Poland David Lynch will be shooting more sequences of the movie, some of them in the circus. The Zalewscy circus troupe will come to Lodz to take part in the shooting.
Laura Dern was also meant to take part in the December scenes. She cannot come because of her advanced pregnancy. Lynch plans for another eminent American actor to take part in the scenes shot in Poland.
"Zielony pokój w Lodzi" is an attempt at finding a new mode of movie narration. It seems, however, that this experiment will result in a new Lynch movie. Moreover, Marek Zydowicz suggests that this project is a prelude to another undertaking. The creator of "Twin Peaks" wants to shoot a high-budget feature film in Poland, on the basis of a script which has already been written. This is supposed to be a joint American, French and Polish production |

Cercando informazioni quì e là, ho saputo della realizzazione di un corto del 2002 chiamato "darkned room".
Tipicamente lynchiano. Si scarica facilmente... Un'opera fine a se stessa? |
